Installation Instructions

Installing from EXE

Double-click the downloaded Catalyst-Setup-0.1.0.exe file
If prompted by Windows Defender SmartScreen, click "More info" then "Run anyway"
Follow the installation wizard (choose installation directory, create shortcuts)
Launch Catalyst from the desktop shortcut or Start menu

⚠️ Windows Defender SmartScreen Warning

You may see a "Windows protected your PC" warning when running the installer:

Click "More info" on the SmartScreen dialog
Click "Run anyway" to proceed with installation
The installer will launch normally

This warning appears because the app is not code-signed with a Windows certificate. The code is safe and open-source.

System Requirements

Windows: Version 10 or later (64-bit)
Architecture: x64 processor
Disk Space: ~400 MB for installation
RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended

Installation Options

During installation, you can customize:

Installation directory (default: C:\Program Files\Catalyst)
Desktop shortcut creation
Start menu shortcut creation
